Turning "TMI" into clarity

If it's happening below your belt, I've probably seen it in my office.

Leaking during workouts. Pelvic pain that won't quit. Pressure, prolapse, pain with sex. I'm Erica Bermudez, OTR/L — a pelvic floor occupational therapist with hundreds of hours of pelvic health training through Herman & Wallace, and this is exactly what I treat, every day.

Out-of-network by design. You'll know the full cost upfront, HSA/FSA works, and I'll give you a superbill to submit if your plan reimburses out-of-network care.

Who I help

HYROX & hybrid athletes

Leaking on wall balls or the ski erg. Hips that ache after sled pushes. A core that won't brace under load. You don't have to choose between competing and staying dry.

Postpartum women

Pelvic pain, prolapse symptoms, or a core that doesn't feel like yours anymore. Whether you're 6 weeks or 6 years postpartum, it's not too late to feel strong again.

Postpartum care starts here →

Men's pelvic health

Pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, post-workout aching, urinary issues. Men have pelvic floors too — and mine is one of the few offices where that's normal to talk about.

Why an OT is exactly who you want for this.

Here's what nobody tells you: pelvic floor therapy sits right in an occupational therapist's wheelhouse. "Occupation" doesn't mean your job. It means everything you actually do in a day — peeing without mapping every bathroom, lifting your kid, sex, a heavy squat, sitting through back-to-back meetings without shifting in your seat. Your pelvic floor shows up in those exact moments, and daily function is the whole thing OTs are trained to treat.

Physical therapy is the household name, so most people assume it's the only door in. It's not. OTs and PTs both do excellent pelvic floor work, and my title isn't what decides whether you get better. What decides it is treating the whole picture: your body, your habits, your stress, your sleep, your training. Your pelvic floor isn't separate from your life, so your care shouldn't be either. Mental health is part of the plan, not an afterthought.

That's why I built a high-touch program combining pelvic floor therapy, exercise programming, behavioral coaching, and weekday access to me — because your pelvic floor doesn't only exist during appointments.
